The Prayer Ministry nourishes and gives direction to the liturgical aspect of the ministry. This mandated standing committee of volunteers ensures that the congregation is provided with opportunities to deepen their faith through a variety of prayer experiences and liturgical celebrations. The purpose of the ministry is to uphold the congregation, it’s ministries, and the community in prayer and to educate, empower, and inspire the congregation in their prayer lives.

what we do
The ministry receives and prays for concerns and requests from individuals in the congregation and are available to pray with someone if the need arises.
The ministry develops support systems for spiritual formation of the church through encouraging small study/prayer/reflection groups within the larger group (i.e. scripture study groups, prayer groups, charismatic prayer groups, ecumenical prayer groups, etc.)
The ministry provides opportunities for the spiritual growth of leadership groups, develops opportunities for ecumenical cooperation, understanding, and prayer; and/or invites charismatic and ecumenical prayer groups to use church facilities and/or hold prayer services in conjunction with those planned by other groups, for greater appreciation and understanding
The ministry covers the various ministry teams of River of Life Restoration Ministries with prayer and receive any prayer concerns they may have. They make the Prayer Room a peaceful environment, supplied with prayer resources for anyone desiring a place to pray, and works with the Senior Pastor to provide opportunities for the congregation to enrich their prayer lives.
The ministry provide a prayer shield for the Pastor(s), facilitate prayer meetings, and implements the recommendations of the Pastor for Prayer and Worship.
